My photography is deeply inspired by traditional Japanese paintings.
For centuries, the Japanese have expressed emotion and spiritual depth through landscapes, portraying nature as a reflection of the soul. I strive to create photographs that offer healing and harmony—images that linger in the viewer’s heart long after being seen.
Each time I pick up my camera, I challenge myself to capture not only the beauty of the scenery but the emotions within it.
I aim to evoke a sense of peace and stillness, inviting viewers to quietly reflect through the lens of nature.

Biography

Born in Tokushima City in 1971. Raised in Hamamatsu, currently based in Toyohashi, Aichi Prefecture.
With the belief that “emotion creates memory,” I have dedicated myself to capturing emotional and spiritual moments through photography. My work has been featured in National Geographic, LensCulture, and Bungeishunjū.
I was invited as a featured artist to the Salon de la Société Nationale des Beaux-Arts (SNBA) in Paris, where I received the Gold Award at the Carrousel du Louvre.
In 2018, I also participated in Japonismes 2018, holding a solo exhibition in the Saint-Germain-des-Prés area of Paris with support from both Japanese and French institutions and sponsors.

私の写真は、伝統的な日本画から大きな影響を受けています。
何世紀にもわたって、日本人は風景を通して感情や精神性を表現し、自然を魂の鏡として捉えてきました。 私の風景写真もまた、ただ美しさを記録するのではなく、見る人の心に癒しと調和をもたらすことを願いながら創作しています。
カメラを通して、自然に宿る感情や記憶、静かな力を写し出すことに挑戦し続けています。
私の作品が、見た後も心に残るような、穏やかで静謐な印象を与えることができたなら、それは何よりの喜びです。

＜略歴＞
1971年、徳島県徳島市生まれ。静岡県浜松市で育ち、現在は愛知県豊橋市在住。
「感動は記憶に残る」という信念のもと、写真を通じて感情と精神性を捉える創作活動を続けています。 『National Geographic』『LensCulture』『文藝春秋』など国内外のメディアで高く評価され、2016年にはフランスのルーヴル美術館カルーゼルにて開催されたフランス国民美術協会（SNBA）主催の展覧会で金賞を受賞。
2018年には日仏政府機関公認の「ジャポニスム2018」に参加し、パリ・サンジェルマン地区にて約半年間の個展を開催しました。

フランス国民美術協会（Société Nationale des Beaux-Arts）について

フランス国民美術協会は、150年以上の歴史を持つフランスの伝統的な美術団体であり、フランス美術の発展と継承を担ってきた。
歴代フランス大統領が後援を務める由緒ある団体であり、同協会が主催する「サロン展（Salon de la SNBA）」は、ヨーロッパ美術の登竜門として広く知られている。
このサロン展は毎年12月にルーヴル美術館内の「カルーゼル・ルーヴル」催事場で開催され、マルク・シャガール、クロード・モネ、エドゥアール・マネ、オーギュスト・ロダン、パブロ・ピカソ、オーギュスト・ルノワール、黒田清輝、藤田嗣治、横山大観といった歴史的なアーティストが会員として名を連ねている。
